VP, Product Strategy
Upright is a real estate investment lender and fintech platform, initially known as Fund That Flip until Q3-2023. I came on board with the appetite to learn more about tech development, startup growth, and have a direct hand in making a difference with a young company. My role grew quickly, from Business Process Manager, to establishing a Business Process team leading as a Director, and quickly after expanding our scope and capabilities as I led a new department as the VP of Business Operations. Our charter was to assess the business, identify opportunities, and bridge the gap between Operations and Product & Technology departments.
During my tenure, I was able to accomplish a lot with team improving the process knowledge and project management capabilities to allow us to get more done. The principles I instilled in my teams spread throughout the company, as I later took on roles leading the Strategic Initiatives and Product Strategy functions. With my consultant skillset, I supported and advised the Executive Leadership team in a chief-of-staff capacity. I developed roadmap and strategic planning frameworks, led all cross-functional projects as a delivery leader, and managed project resources to ensure leadership was informed and results were achieved.

I joined as a Senior Consultant and grew to a Manager based on my performance and leadership. Streamlined global operations, designing and implementing transformational financial operations for newly formed entities and standing up shared service models, driving significant cost savings and process centralization.
Post-merger integrations of back-office functions of acquired companies, ensuring seamless operations within the parent company.
Process improvements - I delivered a global Record-to-Report (RTR), Procure-to-Pay (PTP), and Order-to-Cash (OTC) process analyses and recommendations. This resulted in streamlined workflows, standardized internal controls, and improved financial reporting cycles.

PMO and change management team driver, responsible for designing and executing solutions to avert risk involved with process improvement/automation projects; liaison between Financial Regulatory Reporting teams and IT.
